Description:
The project titled “Library Automation System” is an advanced Library management web application for monitoring, viewing and controlling the transactions in a library.
The project "Library Automation System" mainly focuses on basic operations like adding new books, and updating new information, searching books, request and returning books, calculating fine amounts that are carried out within the libraries. "Library Automation System" is a windows application.
This application is easy to use for both beginners and advanced users. The existing system fully involves manual intervention to perform the above mentioned operations .Thus it requires some man-power even for a minute operation .
The proposed system highly reduces the man-power and also paper work with minimum human intervention to manage the database. The user can reserve his required issue without visiting the library using this application. Implementation of this Library Automation System provides the user to access the Library utilities with minimum time consumption to fulfill the user requirements.
This project also involves services like automatic updation of the count of books after returning and when issued. It also alerts the user about the due date expiry and new arrivals. Hence, Library Automation System provides ease of access for both user and Library Administrator.
Tools and Technologies Used:
--> HTML, CSS, JavaScript for front-end and PHP as scripting languages.
--> MySQL as back end database.
--> Xampp as application server.
--> Dreamweaver as file editor.
